6: Apple TV 4K, American Vandal, Amazon Prime Video and Wong Kar-wai

 

The big fall Apple event was this week, so that sucked up a lot of the air in terms of news. But the Apple TV 4K is interesting from an original content perspective, so we talk about its impact. Also, Amazon Prime Video's strategy shift and we review American Vandal, Netflix's Making a Murderer-style mockumentary.

Amazon has also revealed some big-time talent coming to its programming, including critically acclaimed director Wong Kar-wai, and comedians Fred Armisen and Maya Rudolph. But Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos also appears to be exerting more control over what content makes the cut.
